With the beginning of August that means two things. The final push for the MLB playoffs and which prospects will finally get called up and get their chance on the biggest stage. At the time of this writing, the favorites are still the same. In the American League. We have the Orioles, Yankees, Guardians, Astros, & Mariners. In the National League it looks like a two-team race between the Phillies & the Dodgers. Don’t count the under teams though, as we saw last year if you get hot at the right time it is anyone’s game.
As far as prospects go, we are more likely to see guys get called up from bottom feeding teams like the White Sox, Nationals, Tigers, Rockies, & Marlins. We may also see teams like the Red Sox & Rays bring some guys up. Some of the top prospects are Junior Caminero (Rays #3 MLB Prospect), Dylan Crews (Nationals #4 MLB Prospect), Marcelo Mayer (Red Sox #7 MLB Prospect), Colson Montgomery (White Sox #16 MLB Prospect), and even Jasson Dominguez (Yankees #25 MLB Prospect). These guys may have a chance to either just get some swings in before their team is eliminated or possibly be a “Black Ace” in the 2024 MLB Playoffs. However, you may have it the time to buy these guys 1st Bowman Chrome Autos & #’d cards is now!
